Tonight the Staten Island Trial Lawyers Association will hold its Biennial Elections at the Casa Belvedere, located on Howard Avenue in Staten Island.
The event will include the election of members of the Board of Directors, as well as all officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer).
Additionally, we will be honoring Cesar Vargas (one of our members) for his landmark appellate victory which gave him the right to practice law in New York State. His case received national attention because it is the first case of its kind in which an undocumented immigrant was found to be “qualified” to receive a license to practice law.
Charles DeStefano will be the “Immediate Past President” and retain a position on the Board of Directors.
He was also elected to Board of Directors at the Richmond County Bar Association on June 2, 2015.
